Encouragement please?!
AweDave , don't give up. I know it is hard as I just finished 3 weeks of Optifast. And yes many times just made it to the washroom. You can do this! You are almost there. We are all cheering you on!

Ah Dave, so sorry that you have the Opti-trots - definitely no picnic! I'm sure that it's worse than the pain from the surgery. I haven't started my Opti yet, but it sounds like you've gotten a couple of good suggestions so I hope that one of them helps you to stay off the toilet for a little while! I guess you have to look at this as a "rite of passage" in your weight-loss journey. I'm sending positive vibrations out to you tonight, Dave!!! Good luck!!!

My first week of Optifast was bad.....explosive bathroom trips. I went from 3 Metamucil capsules PER Optifast up to 5 Metamucil capsules per Optifast upon the advice of the NP in Ottawa.
My family doctor also took me off the water pill I was on. So the second week was better.
You may want to call your centre for advice.
