What the...... 6 years?!
VSG on 05/11/12
Congratulations to you Karen, on your 6 year surgiversary!!! What an amazing difference in your before & after pics!
You are an inspiration to all of us & we definitely appreciate and value your presence here on the forum. Your "shoot from the hip" responses are just what's needed in most situations. You manage to combine a no-nonsense approach with plenty of compassion.
I hope you did something nice to treat yourself for this fantastic milestone!!!!

First of all, WOW!!!!! What an amazing transformation! And you are truly an inspiration to those of us who have this nagging doubt of "But CAN I keep it off????"
The tips you mention are ALL things I have struggled with. Sometimes, when I'm eating something especially yummy, I am asking myself if I can actually go through life without ever getting to taste it again, and I have to remind myself that being deprived of some yummy stuff is a small price to pay for the chance of feeling like I am living again. I can't walk to the end of my street without being winded and feeling significant pain. Should I really care if I never eat cheesecake again? And the planning meals thing is paramount. Your post reminded me that I really need to focus on that. Because when I try to wing it, I usually end up not bringing any food and then eating something I shouldn't, or way too much of something when I get home.
Huge CONGRATS to you for how far you've come. You should be very proud. And thank you so much for posting this.
