Strange Post Op Losing Patterns - Gaining/Losing
Just wondering how many other recent post-ops are noticing the same weight loss pattern that I have been the last two months.
At first I would have "stalls" before resuming weight loss. Fine.
But the last month or two I've noticed that I'll actually plateau, then gain a few pounds, sit there for a few days to a week, then suddenly drop another 5-10 lbs. So I continue to have a net loss, which is great. But each time I break out of a plateau to a losing spell it starts with this slight weight gain.
It bothers me a bit only because I don't really understand why this happens.

I'm far from a new post op but still have my excel sheets from 7 years ago. I would lose 2 weeks straight then gain the 3rd week then lose 2 weeks then gain again. Like you, I always ended up with a deficit at the end of the month but it did freak me out at first. In the beginning, I ate pretty much the same foods from day to day so really didn't understand it. Once you saw this was my trend, I just let it go and as long as I was always down by the end of the month, I didn't worry. Not sure if it was water retention or what but I had a definite pattern.
Yup. I had the same thing. It was just my pattern, as soon as I saw it as such, then it didn't bother me nearly as much, because I knew it was going to go down eventually. I am about 23 pounds from goal, and I am seeing the same trend, only much more prolonged now. ie. loose 6 pounds in a week, climb back up 1 or 2, maybe even threee, then STALL (except now my stalls are like 3 months instead of 3 weeks!)...repeat.
I am 6 weeks out so just a small time frame to look at however I find about mid week I drop a few pounds, then for the remainder of the week I am up and down each day, never seeing the lowest number until the following monday where ta da its the lower number. Then the patter begins again. Its really strange kinda like a preview of what I will be the following monday. Now I jus****ch the numbers out of curiosity and dont really pay attention other than the monday number.
