That kind of info really helped me out when I first started here because I could visualize how much or little I would be eating.

Im all for adding that to the posts.

I would like that info on the posts as well - I do use it for ideas - especially being pre-op(but not for long), as I am learning.

GREAT SUGGESTION - those who want to can - those who don't, don't have to!

an AWESOME suggestion!!  being 3 months post-op i think it would help a lot of us knowing what the "vets" as well as newbies are eating and the quantities!!!  thanks for the posting!!!
was super seeing you and everyone else last night!  support groups are so beneficial to everyone who attends!!! and that, of course, is MY OPINION!

Perhaps you'll start posting on the thread too, so people can see what someone at 3 months out eats.

I would definitely be interested in seeing the actual amounts included in what everyone's eating, so I get a better idea of how much I should be having, once I'm post-op.  Also, it really helps if someone posts how far out they are (or if they're still pre-op). That way I can compare what someone else is eating, who is in roughly the same time frame as I am.

PS - I never thought of posting my own daily intake - I guess I just assumed it was for post-ops.  You're right, Karen, it's a good way for me to keep track of what I'm eating each day.  Why didn't I realize that?????Duh!

To Karen, and the group member who suggested it, great idea!!
I read this thread all the time for ideas! Thank you to the posters. It would be very helpful to know how far out people are- I know for me I have my surgery date on my profile but it does not carry through to my posts under my avatar.
In addition, it is difficult to visualize the meal and portion when amounts are not provided- I know that would help me.
I am still adjusting so much to how I eat now and to try to eat more frequently as I have found my hunger returning lately. I am 10 weeks out from surgery.

Very helpful for all, in many ways.
Great suggestion.

Surgery date May 7 / 2012
Highest 312 lbs - Pre Op 297lbs - now 199 lbs
I know now that my location was never my destination.
