Hello OH..
I am 5 weeks post op tomorrow and was wondering what method(s) of birth control my fellow wls friends on this site have found to work for them..  I am considering Depo Provera...  but would welcome any feedback that may be provided...

Thanks for your input..

I'm not having surgery until Friday but I am on the Nuva Ring.  I've heard it works well post-op.

Joolie, not to alarm you, but i was just reading a post on the RNY surgery board, where someone was told that they had to have the Nuva Ring out for two months prior to surgery. Does your surgeon know the form of BC that you're using?

They are well aware and told me it was a good choice.  Hmmmmm.... don't know what to say here.

Just making sure. This person was in the states, they might have different rules, for her particular hospital. Just as long as people know.

I swore by depo for years... the only reason I stopped was cause you have to take a break once in a while from it. I loved it!!
and had no periods while on it either as you dont produce any eggs to have to flush out:)

Thanks for the response..

I love depo. 2 of my kids were "surprises" while on the pill lol. Since depo, 13 years and no more babies and no more periods either!!!!
