Question about drinking liquids before meals....

I actually can't drink around meals. It makes me sick. I then have trouble holding down my meal.

Hi Pat - is that because the liquid fills you up too much or is it just that it doesn't agree with your stomach? That sounds unusual - I wonder how common it is to have that happen?

before appears to fill me up but also unsettle my stomach. After I sometimes have hot tea but not too soon or it will make me feel sick as well. not sure why but trey to avoid it.

 Forgot you are a vsg'er.   Similar idea.  You want the sphincter at your intestines to be closed totally by the time food enters your sleeve.  If it senses liquid, it may open and your food would pass through too quickly to the intestines.
