Protein Powder

I was going to get my Protein Shakes and vitamins from Costco.  Anyone tried their "Weider™ Ultra Whey Protein™".  I also noticed that many of these powders have a small amount of Sugar.  Is this minimal amount ok to have ?  Is there any that don't have any sugar?  I am open all of your suggestion as I am new to the game !  I am open to any other products outside of Costco of course.  I am now 6 weeks pre-op.

I haven't had that Weider product but I have had the peach-mango one.  It's more like a juice than a milky texture  Most have a tiny bit of sugar because they may contain milk solids, etc so it's natural sugars from that.  I think mine has 1 gram of sugar per scoop.  I really enjoy the Isoflex protein powders and the IsoSensation ones.  I get mine at GNC but apparently they are available at more stores now.  Loblaws stores that have pharmacies have it as do some Walmarts.  Places like Popeyes carry them as well but we don't have one where I live.

From GNC , Promasil Viral .US Athlete's protein has 0 Carbs, 20 g Protein per scoop, its pretty good vanilla flavour, I use it in smoothies and in the afternoon with a bunch of ice and soy milk it makes a nice cool ice drink.  Regards, Ian  

Imho, find a Protein that has LOW carbs.  The Costco premier shakes are yummy. 

 I know that Windsor recommends that protein powders have no more than 3 carbs per 30 gram scoop.  This brand you are talking about has 5.

So watch the carbs and sugar.  I like the idea of 20g of protein per scoop !
