Finally back home and no real plans for today besides laundry and putting a lot of stuff away we brought home from the cottage close up.  I'm tired and it's not even 3 yet.  Eats are kinda off today.

B - way too may cups of black coffee then hit the road

S - egg white, sausage and cheese breakfast sandwich, hold the english muffin, another black coffee

L - forgot about it

S - honey crisp apple

D - 5 oz salmon filet, small ceasar salad, maybe a few homemade oven fries with rosemary if I feel up to it.

I'm making mega egg bites as we speak.  Total and complete craving.  Counting the minutes 'til they're done.

Why, thank you!  But uhhh... I'm going to eat a mega egg bite. And then perhaps Little Scottish Boy will be here.  I put turkey into my egg bites - does that count?  LOL

XO

I am doing "THE" Turkey Dinner I posted though in pre-op style so not as healthy, or in the quantities I should really...

I am going to do my preference of 3oz dark meat, 1oz white meat... (204 cal)
I am doing 2oz pork sausage stuffing instead of turkey sausage stuffing... (192 cal)
I will also do 1oz bread stuffing (made in a way I can have it)... (109 cal)
1/2 cup of acorn squash (57 cal)
1 small potato then mashed with .5tbsp becel (126 cal)
1/2 cup peas (62 cal)
1 oz cranberries (prepped with my sugar quantities) - (27 cal)
Turkey Gravy - clubhouse 1/4 package - (20 cal)
I am having a 1/2 piece pumpkin pie with whipped cream at the end... (235 cal)
----------- Thanksgiving Meal with desert which will be a couple hours later- 1032 *yikes*

Though in reality my whole day looks more like this spacing things out, and what I actually have as a total intake:

Breakfast - slept through it... LOVE holiday weekends for this.
Lunch - 3oz ham, 1oz marble cheese, 1 tortilla - 305 cal, 18g carbs, 1.1g sugar, 25.1g protein
Snack - 1oz cranberry sauce - warm just after I made it - 27cal, 6.8g carbs, 3g sugar
Supper -  As listed above minus pie - 797 cal, 79.8g carbs, 10.1g sugar, 53.9g protein
Snack - 1/2 slice pumpkin pie with 1oz whipped cream - 235 cal, 26.5g carbs, 15.3 sugar, 3.5g protein

Total day: 1344 cal, Total fat 53.5g, 131g carbs, 29.1g sugar, 82.9 g protein.

At this point... I am within my 1200-1700 cal thing I work with. I am not sure I will add anything more but I certainly could have more turkey and cranberries later if I really wanted.

Pumpkin pie and pork sausage stuffing killed my fat for the day... Which is why they in the form they are in will not be on my post-op menu but I can still substitute. Pumpkin pie smoothie (from DNA's recipie), turkey sausage stuffing (my recipie), etc.

To be honest... Yesterday and today are my highest carb amounts for daily totals in nearly 4 weeks.

If I was post-op now this would be my dinner:
3oz roasted, skinless turkey breast - 135 cal
1 oz cranberries (prepped with my sugar quantities) - 28 cal (13 cranberries, 15 sugar)
1/8 of a cup of baked acord squash with no salt/butter - 15 cal (1 cup is 115 cal)
4 spears of asparagus with a 1/2" base boiled and drained - 13 cal
1oz Turkey sausage stuffing either way I mentioned - 75 cal (3 1/2oz or 100g of sausage is 150 cal max for pure turkey sausage, and the additional fruits or veggies would make up the balance of the calories)
SF Jello Mouse Cups are 60cal if you go that way and entirely optional!

Total cal before desert: 266 cal
With desert (which I doubt you could eat at the same sitting so maybe later as a snack) 326cal total.

Wow for post op that is a lot of food. Tomorrow I will  probably have
turkey 2 oz, acorn squash 2 tbsp, potatoe 2 tbsp and maybe a little salad if I have room. I will probably have no snack after this but probably have a glass of wine 1/2 hr later

Yeah... I am pre-op now but I had sort of figured 1 cup give or take post-op but found out it was more like 1/2-3/4 cup (less then I have seen others eat post-op but I will work with it).

I will admit I am giggling that what I listed is so close to yours.

16 tbsp = 1 cup so 1/8 cup = 2 tbsp

Instead of potato & salad I chose cranberries and asparagus. And 1 extra oz of turkey & turkey sausage stuffing... as I keep hearing protein is the goal.

Truly the hard part post-op might be the aspragus spacially (4 spears is like 1/4-1/3 of a cup)...

As for the desert. I've always been the "take it for later" type if I could.  Wine sounds lovely! Though even now I tend to not drink it in the evening (or at least past about 8:30) as I find it can make it's self known till like 3 am. *sigh*

Clearly there will be wiggle room but it is where my head is at now.
