Have a Happy Birthday. Cheers.

Happy birthday, Karen! Hope you have fun with your birthday celebrations today. :)
I went to Costco yesterday - turns out my sister-in-law has a membership and is willing to go anytime! I thought I'd die of exhaustion because I probably pushed it too much and was on my feet for too long (we were there for a couple of hours), but I got a case of Premier Protein Shakes. And oh my goodness, I can stand them! I can stand them! I'm so excited to have found a protein shake I can stand! I don't love it, but I don't hate it either. So I'm sipping on one right now. :) This sure will help me get in protein without feeling like I have to eat all day long!
Today after breakfast, I'm going out to a wool store to get some wool for a lap blanket I'm crocheting for my grandmother for Christmas. It's a gorgeous, sunny day out, so the walking will be great!
In other news...I know, I said I wasn't going to do this, but I just had to see whether I've broken 300 lbs today and...I have! I'm now 299.5 lbs. Amazing! It's going so fast. I'm really noticing it in the roll of fat below my breasts - it's really shrinking! Goodbye 300's, hope to never see you again. I'll just make sure not to weigh myself for at least another week, just in case I fluctuate above the 300 lb mark. :) A great start to my 40's!
2.5 WEEKS POST-OP - PUREE STAGE

Lunch: Leftover Mexican Chicken Casserole from last night, my portion pureed, of course. If anyone is interested, I've posted the recipe and a picture of it in this thread - it turned out very nicely!

Yay! I'm glad you can tolerate the Premier Shakes! They really are great for getting in the protein.
Your casserole recipe looks great - thanks for sharing!

Well, we'll see - hopefully I don't have a mini-dump on it the way I did with the Oh Yeah shake! But the Oh Yeah shake had way more calories so I'm assuming that won't happen.

Hopefully not - it's pretty low cal, and also only has 1g of sugar.

Well, it stayed down fine, no dumping! But I couldn't drink it all in one sitting. Drank most of it, and then just had the rest this afternoon. So, looks like it's a keeper. :)
