MRI

I was to have a MRI on Saturday night. Went to have it done but machine was so small and I couldn't do it. Does anyone know if there is larger machines or open MRI machines in Ontario.

Ah.. I am so sorry to hear this! I had my last one a few months ago and it was a tight squeeze - put fear into me!

I have no idea about other machines, but I am sure someone will know here if there are any around. Just want to wish you luck and best wishes for the holidays.

There is a larger MRI machine in London ON at St. Joseph's Health Care....not sure where you are located.

Thanks Debbie I am little clastrophobic to begin with and when he put me in the machine to try it it was sqeezing my body and I felt like I was gonna be stuck in there so there was just no way. When I came out of the machine my whole body was shaking so bad.

As far as I am aware... This may be the largest machine in Ontario.

Because I am so close to them I keep up on the technology they purchase... Not to mention I have had many a MRI conversation with friends (my last one was face down with my boobs hanging through openings the size of the grand canyon and my hips grazed the sides at 61 inches for my hip measurement... That was at PMH).

Table weight limit is 550lbs I believe (check but that is the info I had pulled when I was looking the machine up). Maybe someone needs to sticky this particular info, or make it known.

There is one more made my siemens that is 660lbs capacity but I am not sure there are any in Canada. The closest I know is Chicago (off the top of my head).
