What exercise are you doing today??

slow and steady still for me .... walking the dog today and training her.
I will try to convince myself this afternoon that getting on the treadmill might make it better.
I had my first week back at work last week, gave 20 massages even though I had said I would only do 16...oppps
then on Sat hubby really wanted to go to the bike show in Montreal, we left home at around 8:45am and didn't get back till past 8pm
the whole day on my feet in winter boots that were no longer water proof... have zero support... and seem to be too big now that I'm 45 lbs smaller than last year.
My feet hurt that day, last night my legs started to ache.
This morning I'm walking like a duck.
... but I will try to get on for at least 30 min even if I don't move too fast... and my runners will be on for sure to help my poor poor feet.
I may Ultrasound my left foot too while at work.
sorry for the rant, but I'm so tired and sore that I can't believe a whole week of work lies ahead.
KAT
I'll be on the bike today for 45 minutes!

High-intensity interval cardio. Tabata is a form of HIIT too. Interval cardio is any cardio where you generally go harder for a period of time, and then ease up for a period of time, maybe a few minutes on and a few minutes off. With HIIT, you go very hard for 30-40 seconds at a time and then rest for about the same amount of time. It's the most effective way to burn fat. I love it because it's quick, but you have to go HARD. You have to work so hard in that 30 seconds that you could literally not do even 1 more second.
I had to build up to it but now I love it. All my cardio is some form of interval, it's more effective at burning fat and working your cardiovascular system than steady state cardio (where you remain at the same pace for an extended period of time).
