Question #2
Had my surgery On May 2 so 10 days ago...yay me!!
BUT..I have a pain that just creeped up on me in my left shoulder..what could that be? Has anyone felt that or gone through this before?..All has been fine until today.
And my insission over my belly button is hard..is that normal?
Thanks for any help given
Monique
My advise, call your centre. I don't think the incision is an issue, the pain in the left shoulder is worrisome to me.

Definitely becareful....remember radiating pain on one side can be indicatative of heart attack. Or it could just be gas...I have read about folks experiencing pain in shoulder/back due to gas.

Left shoulder pain is very common after lap abdominal surgery. They pump you full of gas so they can work and the gas can irritate the diaphragm which in turns causes referred shoulder pain. You can try a heating pad on it to help relieve it. Call your centre if you are concerned but it is very common.
I have not had surgery yet but I have always had a lot of gas that stays trapped in my upper chest. I have irritable bowel. I feel pain and pressure in between my breasts, it will radiate into my shoulder and my jaw. These symptoms are similar to a heart attack but as soon as I take maalox plus gas I burp a few times and it goes away. I hope you feel better and find something that works well for your gas pain.
