Help! Optifast mix-ins? And fiber?
You can mix in some sugar free syrups. I personally just use pure cocoa powder in my vanilla, with four ice cubes, some water and blend well in my magic bullet. I haven't needed to worry about adding fibre.
Many folks use syrups, its really just trying different things that work for you
I used ice out of a bag... and raspberry crystal light....the opti vanilla and milk...and I mixed it well in my Magic Bullet...so it ended up being a crushed ice smoothie.
As for the chocolate... opti and milk and ice...did the same thing as above..
This kept me sane....
I also drank beef, chicken, vegetable broths.. to stave off hunger pains.
All the best to you.

Absolutely no milk is allowed. Not sure if the person above made a mistake when she wrote it out but it's not allowed at any of the centres.
If you click the link in my signature line for the recipe group there is a whole thread dedicated to surviving optifast and there are a lot of recipes. As for fibre, get the metamucial unflavoured pills that have no sugar in them and take them with each shake. It will help to keep you regular as at first the liquid just wants to run through you and you end up with diarrhea and the metamucil will help absorb some of that liquid so you don't.
I agree with the milk (from what Ottawa told me) except our hand out said 1/4 cup a day of skim for like coffee but I stayed generally clear of it just to be careful. I enjoyed the flavour of adding almond extract to the chocolate and vanilla.
Regarding fiber, silly me thought "I won't get constipated, all I'm drinking is liquid" WELL BOY had I not thought of the other possibility of diarrhea and I've learned that the tablets will help with that as well. I wished I had paid better attention and taken them every day.
