Im leaving on a jet plane...
Tomorrow night will be the last time I go on a trip and will have anxiety about hope to have an empty seat next to me, getting a seat belt extender. Part of me calming my nerves is that fact that the next time I go home to visit family I will ( god willing ) be 100- 150 lbs lighter and this horrible anxieties wont be an issues.
I can go back to enjoying the experience of traveling.
So I will hold on to the fact, tomorrow is the last trip that I will have this anxiety hanging over me. The last time family member will see me at this weight.........
That just makes me feel amazing. I am so ready for the next step in my journey.
I have to say that the ease when it comes to traveling is one heck of a nice NSV! Just fitting in the seats, not needing a seatbelt extender, and not constantly worrying about the person in the seat next to me...it's fantastic. Oh, and let's not forget about putting the tray table down! Phew! And not only that, but no longer worrying about the long walks in airports and the pain that came with that, is absolutely amazing.
I love traveling again! I travel a fair amount for work, but didn't do a lot of traveling for fun, because, frankly, it wasn't very much fun. I've now booked my first vacation in about five years, and I'm really looking forward to it!
You definitely have something to look forward to!! That being, do enjoy this trip! Try not to worry too much...keep thinking about the future!
Cheers,
DD
Enjoy yourself. My last trip was at the end of May. Same anxiety as you. Flew Porter for the first time. It was amazing! Still needed an extender but the cabin crew was very discrete about it and the seats were bigger than regular seats on other planes. I almost cried with relief.
My next trip will be to Hawaii for my parents 50th wedding anniversary. I'll be 14 weeks out then. Really hoping for an NSV!
So exciting!!
my sister just upgraded me to first class. I did her a huge favor and she thought she repay me like that.
I was so happy! Upgraded to first class, larger seats and no one sitting next to me!!
Oh, that's so nice! Congratulations, what a great sister you have. I hope you enjoy your trip!
