Waiting.....

This is my first time posting on here but i thought i would give it a try....

I had my surgery prep class in Early October in windsor and i was told i would receive a phone call within two months to get a date to meet with the surgeon in Guelph it really hasnt happened that way i received a phone call three weeks ago saying im on a list and they will call in december with a day in January but its so hard waiting i just am wondering why it is taking sooo long!!!! im now getting a bit impatient....

I'm sorry it is taking so long for you!  I know they say patience is a virtue....I'm not very virtuous either!!! lol

I know the waiting can be very long..... When did you get referred , ect... Im going thru Guelph as well. 

I got referred In July 2012, My Orientation was October 25th, 2012 My nurse Consult was January 7th, 2013  Then Social worker March 5th, again in June Dietition March 11th, Again in June Doctor First appointment was Feb 5th, 2013 then again in July......... I had alot of difficulty getting my vitamin levels where they should be at.

I was supposed to go to the September surgery education class but turns pout it was in the middle of my honeymoon and i was in Jamaica so it was a little difficult to make that one so maybe that's why the waiting seems so extra long because i had to wait for the October class.

Honestly you should have received the call by now.  If it were me, I would call again and explain your situation to Audrey; perhaps she has some answers for you.

So as I recall they fell behind in Guelph over the summer due to vacations taken by the surgeons (everyone is entitled). I'm sure they also want to spend some time with family over Christmas too. It took over 2mo to get my call from Guelph about a meet the surgeon date but when it came, it was just around the corner. Now it feels like another waiting period due to surgery not being until the new year. It's hard but it is good for us to practice and prepare with the time given to us. Think of other things, especially at this busy time of year and the time may go by a little quicker for you.
