Average wait time for a surgery date?

I went to orientation in mid July, and I just finished my last required meeting last night. I go to meet with the surgeon on Nov 7. I asked last night if I will get a surgery date then? I was asked what insurance I had which is BCBS of NC. They said they have to send in all the paperwork to my insurance but they are quit to approve, around 2-3 days. So, I guess it depends on your insurance on what they require.Also, how quickly you complete the requirements. Good luck!!
