Good morning. I made a reluctant visit to the gym this morning. Once I get there and do my workout I'm happy I went, it's just dragging myself there.
I had a call last night from my credit card company. My card has been compromised with crazy charges! Someone is trying to have a good time on my dime! Ticketmaster charges, Mile One Centre - a venue in Newfoundland, a country festival in Manitoba, and Air Canada if you can believe it. I guess they need a way to get out east. But why would AC book tickets with a credit card that doesn't belong to one of the ticket holders? It will take them 3 - 4 weeks to investigate all the charges. Right now its over $6000.00 pretty soon they will exhaust my credit limit.
Any how.....Post Op 3 yrs 1 mos

The surgeries are definitely different, there is no question.
I actually wanted a sleeve but the surgeon said no way, RNY was the way to go for me.
Although different surgeries, I am firm believer in you get out of it, what you are prepared to put into it. The surgery is not a magic bullet. It is just a tool.
The sleeve will still help you to eat less and you still have to adhere to a diet that is consistent with weight loss just like with RNY. It's going to be work no matter which surgery you have. In fact, it's going to be work for the rest of our lives.
The choice is ours.
Here's the other thing, I know people who have had the sleeve and then once they lost weight they had a second surgery to revise to an RNY. So, RNY is still possible, just not right now.
Discuss with your surgeon. Ask the hard questions. You may be surprised.

It's hard when you don't see progress on the scale but Ginny is absolutely right. Things continue to change even though the scale is not moving.
Sometimes changing it up can help break through a stall. Different exercise, longer, harder, less, not as hardcore, watch carbs, increase protein, drink more water. Just know that staying the course will pay off and the weight loss will come again.

Good morning :)
We are going for a walk this morning with my aunt. I'm hoping it doesn't rain. I tried twice yesterday to get my license plates replaced and it didn't happen so I might try again this morning. DH can't take the car since it doesn't have the plates on now.
QOTD: what is your favourite cartoon? I've been introduced to some new and weird ones with the little nugget. I remember as a kid watching Carebears a lot. My grandpa would always turn on Looney Toons.
Accountability: ehh. Could have been better.

I can understand that it would hard to "technically"be out of the program. I'm so glad that you have engaged your doctor, the Wharton clinic and dietician to continue to provide you with the support you need.
Honestly, you're such a warm and giving contributor to this community - you have a community here to support you as well.
You're an inspiration!

OMG You are so right! I haven't started measuring but my bra's don't fit any more. And my pants are falling off!! I had clothes that didn't fit me anymore and I refused to get rid of & those have come in handy! I will start measuring.
Good morning :)
I tried to be super productive this morning by going to get my license plates exchanged (ours are peeling) but I forgot to write down the mileage. Then I went to the party store but didn't find a theme I liked for the little nuggets first birthday.
Accountability: yesterday was really good. Still hungry but I stayed on plan.
