I had orientation at Humber as well on Nov 9th. Still waiting 
I called yesterday for an update and they said they are still working on people from the October orientations. Ugh.. The waiting is awful. The more I wait, the more discouraged I feel. I have done so much research and have made tons of changes to prepare for this change of life but I really need this process to start so I don't get too discouraged, slip up and loose any or the progress I have worked so hard for.
If you are supposed to be using it, you need to bring it to the hospital with you and use it.
Maybe a visit to your family doctor is in order. You may need some anti anxiety meds to get you through the next little while so you can use it.
Eventually with weight loss you may not need it at all but the Anesthetist has a valid concern.

Hello everyone. I went to the pre-op appointment yesterday. All my blood work and other tests were normal but when I saw the anesthesiologist he asked me if I'm using the CPAP machine. I explaines I'm claustrophobic and get really anxious as soon as I put on the mask and feel like my throat is closing up and no air passes. He said it's probably anxiety and that I had to start using it. He suggested melatonin. Put it on yesterday and was in and out of sleep. I did not get a good night sleep. Anyone go through something similar and would they cancel my surgery if I can't get used to it? I'm Freaking out that my surgery might be cancelled.
Finally had my orientation last week on Tuesday January 29th! It was interesting, but I already knew most of what we learned because I had read the book a few times and done a lot of research at home. Now it's back to waiting for my next appointment.
Did many of you call to follow up on your appointments? If so, how often?
I don't want to get annoying, but I would like to make sure I don't get lost or overlooked!

Hi there. I scheduled to have my Reux n y surgery in February 25 and just started my opti fast. I am having my surgery at TWH as well. How was your experience? Who was your surgeon?
I am also on day two of opti fast and I have a massive headache too! I also have some nausea and fatigue. My nurse said it's withdrawl and Ketosis kicking in. She advised me to take extra strength Tylenol.
Ohh I like that recipe. I make a lot of different egg mixtures in a muffin tin. This sounds yummy. 
DH said I don't sound like Walowitz's mother, but I must say that I sound worse than I did on Sunday, lol.
I am sick and tired of being sick and tired. When I get my normal voice back and I feel better, I will give you a call just so you don't feel the need to call an exorcist on me. Hopefully that will be before you head out on vacation.
