Hi Lucile,
Yes this Ontario board has been dead for the past year.... I was posting menu's with Meggles but she now has 2 little ones so I'm sure she is super busy.
I had my surgery late Nov 2018 and have lost a substantial amount of weight but am finding I'm STUCK. I haven't been going back to old habits but have been at the gym doing weight training pretty heavy so I'm hoping its muscle replacing the fat because I am still losing inches but not lbs.
I'm thinking of hopping over to post on the RNY board since it seems to be very active and they look like a good bunch of supportive helpful peeps.

I am thankful for my RNY. But dudes I am up 40 lbs from my lowest. I am not thankful for the regain. I guess I gotta stop eating chips and grazing all day. Not being funny. Just wanna know how everyone is doing. Ontarians out there? Hello? Anyone out there?
Post when you had your surgery and if you've been successful or are struggling. I'm three years out and am terrified of going for my 3 year check up. Don't wanna hear the lectures.
Ok. let's keep this thing alive.

I was not a fast loser but who cares as long as you get there! I know the newbies check the trackers and the signatures so although I kind of lost track of how the rest of the weight came off, you should know that it was not fast and furious but it was slow and steady!
current BMI 24.7 that, my friends, is NORMAL!!! Strong is the new pretty!

Do you an endocrinologist for your diabetes? My endocrinologist actually suggested WLS to me and help persuade my GP to do the referral. RNY can have an immediate metabolic impact that can make diabetes more manageable or even "cure" (assuming type 2) it. I went from being insulin dependent pre-op to off all diabetes meds within days of the surgery. If you have an endo maybe they can talk to your GP about it?

I'd be really interested in this but alas have to work during the day.
Thank you Dawn!!! I am going on 10 years and struggling with regain. Yes it is all me, and trying to get back on track is hard especially with all my food restrictions.
Thanks for the encouragement
Linda
