Topic: Free Online Group for Pre/Post Bariatric Patients with Disordered Eating

Hi All,

I am from Sheena's Place (sheenasplace.org); we are an eating disorder agency that has put together a free online group for bariatric clients (pre- or post-surgery) who would like to deal with big emotions that may be leading to eating disorders / disordered eating (binge eating, emotional eating, grazing, night eating etc.) The group pulls from DBT (dialectical behaviour therapy), CBT (cognitive behaviour therapy), and ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy). It is a 10 week, interactive, confidential and a closed group (so new members cannot join once the group has started). It runs Fridays 1-2:30 starting Sept. 18. Please see the attached flyer for registration info. Hope to see you soon!

Topic: Appointment with the Trios and Internist

Hello all! I have my trios appointment coming up next week. Very excited but also nervous to fail and be delayed! Still waiting on my internist appointment. Do we really have to just wait for them to call with the appointment? I called the internist office directly and they said they dont book the appointments, someone will call. I like having all my ducks in a row so waiting on the phone call is nerve wracking

Couldn't we meet via Zoom? That way we can even use just audio if we're not comfortable showing our identities?

I don't think the group still gathers. Karen used to post the dates on this page. I certainly miss meeting up as a group to discuss challenges. Both as newly post op and now being many years out.

Hair loss can affect just your scalp or your entire body, and it can be temporary or permanent. It can be the result of heredity, hormonal changes, medical conditions or a normal part of aging. You can check this https://naildesignsjournal.com/ Rosemary oil Trusted Source stimulates new hair growth and can be used to treat androgenetic alopecia.

Topic: Mississauga Support Group??

Hello,

Just wondering if anyone knows if the Mississauga Support Group is still around? I remember attending coffee talk meetings at Tim Horton's in Clarkson a few years back. The meetings were organized by a wonderful lady named Karen, who I lost touch with.

Does anyone know if the group still meets or if she is still organizing them?

Thanks so much :)

Hi Dawn... yes this site sure has changed from the "old days".... prior to surgery I used to live on this site ... then had surgery and visiting this site slowed down.. now I hardly recognize anyone. Thanks to facebook I guess. Take care of you!!!
