Great to hear everything went so well and that you are excited about the rest of your journey.
Meg is right that everyone is different. I too felt like I lost less than most after surgery, but I'd also lost quite a bit before from changing my diet to align with what I knew I'd be eating post surgery. I would say that you should just take the weight loss as it comes and make sure you are following through with what your team has told you to do. I've been a pretty steady case in that I lost anywhere from 3-10/month and never had any drastic months. I wasn't prepared for the stalls but I now know that they are just that,, stalls and if you stay on track then you can still win the race like the turtle "slow and steady"

I need to pull some weeds in our backyard, but it will depend how much rain we get today :) We have a huge morning glory vine that is taking over our hydro meter. We didn't plant it -- it is just taking over and has grown from another garden.
QOTD: how do you make sure you get all your water in each day? And how much do you aim for? I'm supposed to get 2-3L because of low blood pressure, but I'm struggling to get over 2L. I've been starting my day with a glass of milk with SF Torani and water so I can get a good headstart on the day.

Lunch - turkey and cheese

Dinner - pulled pork
Snack - oatmeal bar
All water and vits.

I would say given your opti/sw that 13 pounds is great :) everyone starts at different points and loses different amounts pre-op.
Being creative with your food will definitely help with food fatigue and staying on track.
Hello all,
I am back - I had my surgery on June 17th at Humber and I am pleased to report, all went well. Recovery has been good and I am back to work today after 6 weeks off.
I find I need to expand the food I am eating and get more creative so I plan on joining a daily menu thread to help find new ideas.
Weight loss seems a bit slow compared to others but I am happy with the progress so far. I lost 13lbs in my first month post op. When I look at other peoples timelines, 13lbs seems a bit low.

GREAT POST!! some need to remember, that WLS is a TOOL.. and not a solution... and after the honeymoon stage or even during when they've hit a stall... they start looking for a "diet" to go on... or they want to fast or just do shakes... isn't this why we had WLS to begin with?? that didn't work!! OUR heads need to make the tool survive... great post!!!

Just a bank appointment today. Nothing special planned for the weekend. My mom and brother are down for the day for some appointments so we will have a little visit :)

TGIF! I'm hoping for a sunny weekend so that I can do some yard work and cleanup. Tonight I'm back to the gym and he usually pushes me more on Friday (super sets) so I'm trying to psych myself up. Hydro massage chair here I come.

Hello everyone. Last night was another gym night and I can feel my shoulders and legs today so I guess it must be working. Tonight I get a little break with a hair appointment which will be nice.
