Thanks so much for your response. I am currently 13 lbs above my lowest weight, but I am 28 pounds away from goal. That hurts to type, lol. But you're right- this will be a lifelong battle for me as well. Keep up the great work :)

You Will typically need to get a machine and be using it consistently to be approved for surgery

Topic: RE: Going to Michael Garron hospital

I had my first class January 3rd and got a surgery date of May 28th. I was told from the beginning that the process with meeting all the different people and satisfying all the insurance requirements could take anywhere from 3- 6 months so I guess I'm at the longer end of that estimate.

I went through a different process than you. I am going through Humber River. I had orientation on Nov 9th and didn't hear back for appointments until Feb9th. I was finished and approved by the whole team by the end of FEB except for the internist.

I met with him on Feb 26th and he sent me for a sleep test. I had a follow up and was approved by him on April 15th. I pick up opti on Friday and surgery will be on June 17th!

I was just diagnosed with severe sleep apnea. I was shocked as I thought the test was a waste of time.

I think the only thing different is that we need to have our machines with us for surgery.

Ginnny, you beat my post by like two minutes lol. By the time I posted mine yours was up!!

Good morning :)

My mom made it here last night so we are just hanging out today. Maybe getting some groceries.

Accountability: really good yesterday. Still plugging along on the monthly challenge. I will say that protein bars are a really slippery slope for me so I need to work on finding things I like instead. Last night I had cocoa almonds from the states.

Post-op four years and two months.

Breakfast - protein shake

Snack - carrots and PB

Lunch - bunless burger

Snack - Greek yogurt

Dinner - bunless burger and salad

Snack - SF pudding

All water and vits.
