Me again! Told you I would try - hey two days in a row is pretty good! I did a leg workout this morning, might not have been the best decision since I have to play ball at 9:00 tonight. Oh well. I will survive LOL.
Happy National Dance Like a Chicken Day!! Actually its a real thing but its also just an excuse for us to have a potluck lunch here at work!! It's open to all of City Hall but it will just be the regular visitors to the lounge that participate I'm sure. I made Taco Dip which I can enjoy without the chips. Just listening yesterday to what people were planning on bringing there will be very little choice for me that isn't carb laden. Choose wisely Ginnny.

Well I just finished my surgery class and found out, I'll be going to Michael Garron hospital in Toronto. I still haven't met the surgeon but apparently it could be next week. They were saying at the rate the surgeons are going , I could have surgery by the end of June. It's kind of mind boggling to think it could be that quick. Getting cleared by the doctor, dietician and social worker wasn't that bad. long did it take for others ? Just a quick update I got a call this morning to meet the surgeon on June 5th and pick up my optifast. So excited
Good morning all. Those frames and pictures do look like they belong on that wall Ginny. Great job! I didn't do any pictures this weekend but I DID get one of my dressers fully purged of what doesn't fit and ended up with 2 garbage bags to donate to the local women's shelter.

L - chicken veggie soup, few goldfish crackers
S - 1/2 protein shake
D - leftover chicken, asparagus

Ginnny those frames look great!! We want to do something like that. I have some photos printed but I want to get some more recent ones.
Today I have a doctor's appointment and then my mom is coming over. She will be here for about a week. DH and I might go for lunch, but I find it hard to stick to my plan when we go out these days. Still working on my challenge for the month but I think I need to be a little better because I have been stalled for a couple days. We went out for dinner last night and I had a little bit of potato, but otherwise I was good :)

Good morning Gang! It's been a while I know - I will try to be more regular here. Hit the gym this morning for 15 kms on the recumbent bike. Was good to get back there as well.
Had a super busy weekend getting the trailer ready for camping next weekend (can't wait). We got a ton of things done around the house as well. This was my favorite project that we accomplished:
I had those frames forever (and I mean ever!) and we finally got some pictures printed at Costco and got them hung. That wall has been bare for so long and now it looks like the pictures just belong there.

That makes sense, thanks for the explanation. Does it mean that people with severe apnea get rejected for the surgery or they are subject to a different protocol and medications?
I am pretty sure that there are very few people with weight issues that do not have sleep apnea.
Anesthesia, especially general anesthesia, can be dangerous for people with obstructive sleep apnea. ... Sleep apnea also can make it more difficult to regain consciousness and take a breath after surgery. The condition makes anesthesia riskier because it slows down breathing and can make you more sensitive to its effects.

I apologize if this is not the right place to ask this question. I have read quite a few of your posts and noticed that someone mentioned that one of the prerequisites for the surgery is that you don't have a sleep apnea. Isn't sleep apnea one of the common side-effects of being overweight/obese? Generally, what is the purpose of the sleep apnea study in pre-surgery process?
I'm on week 2 of three weeks. I dont feel its got easier and i read somewhere that i wouldnt be hungry after the first few days. Im not starving, but im still hungary. I like that someone likened this to stages, this being the first stage. I will go with that for now, to help my mindset :)
