Happy Sunday morning folks! I slept in a bit this morning but I'll start out the thread since no one else has.

Yesterday's schedule changed somewhat from plan. I did my hour workout with my trainer, then I ran errands to TJ's, Home Depot and CVS. When I got home, I realized that I'd been running on coffee and no food, so I got some chicken to eat. I had planned to get out in the yard for a bit before we went to Winter's Eve but I was really tired and just decided that I really needed to just give myself some down time. I put on my fleece PJs, crawled under the quilt and went to sleep cuddling my big gray cat Audie (in Friday's pic). I got up for a bite of dinner and we watched some episodes of the Great British Baking Show and then I went back to sleep again. I'm still not super energetic this morning but I really needed to give myself some down time.

DW would like to go thrifting today and maybe a stop at Michael's for craft stuff. I'd also like to make some mini loaves of quick bread for gifts, particularly pumpkin cranberry, lemon poppy seed.

QOTD: What kind of soup do you like? Do you make your own or heat it from a can? I love homemade chili and beef veg. My favorite canned soup is Progresso Italian Wedding Soup. I bought all of the ingredients for the Chicken Zuddle soup on the OH homepage and want to make that today. It looks perfect!

Menu:

B: ham, coffee

S: Chomps

L: TJ's chicken sausages, baby carrots

S: salmon jerky

D: either chicken zuddle soup or pork chops

Exercise: I'd like to do a run at the lake if I don't work in the yard

Good morning everyone! I've missed posting for a couple of days--just been kind of a hectic weekend and I'm glad I don't have any plans today!

Last night I went to a Harry Potter themed Yule Ball with my cousin--I was her plus one for her company's Christmas party (she works for Google.) it was super cool! They held it in an old train station museum here in Omaha, which was perfect. We walked through platform 9 3/4 to enter and then boarded the Hogwarts Express, which let out to the Great Hall. We had happy hour (I drank water except I did take a sip of my cousin's butterbeer to taste it), and then dinner was set up Hogwarts feast style--we sat at long bench tables and served ourselves food kind of family-style. There was a "horcrux search" for prizes, photo booths, sorting (we got house scarves--I'm a Ravenclaw), potions (I chose a non-alcoholic one), dancing, and we all got to choose a wand. I now have have McGonagals wand. Toward the end of the evening a dessert cart came around pushed by a lady who asked us "Anything from the trolly, dear?" Just like in the books/movies. Photo dump included here!

Qotd: I prefer homemade, though I do keep a few cans around for quick grabs. I have considered canning my own since I've gotten into canning and preserving foods over the summer.

Breakfast: coffee, eggs and bacon

lunch: maybe tuna salad

dinner: I'll have to pull something out of the freezer. I think we have pork, so...something with that
