Friends

Has anyone got friend request,that don't seem like real people? They leave their email address, but I am leary about acepting their request. Just wanted to check. Thanks

Yes - don't do it. Report them.

not really but i only accept as friends, forum posters i've become sort of familiar with over time.   i don't really worry about whether i've friended someone here (not like on facebook).  

the people i have friended here are all very kind supportive people.  i'm an RN and i think that spills over into every area of my life.  i try to play nicely here on the forum....hoping my posts are honest, caring and helpful.

what i have learned to do though that has really helped me enjoy the board is to block posters who either upset me or seem too negative or too judgemental. 
you've probably run into some of them already.
it seems some people are only happy when they're criticizing other posts.  and some people just seem to have the need to be nasty or rude......
 
the block button makes them go away from my view entirely..... forever!

Don't accept them.  Ignore them and report it.

That is spam your right do not answer them.

I have never had anyone that friend requested me leave an email address. I agree, that seems kinda fishy.  You could see if they have a profile and if it is blocked or pretty vacant definitely don't accept and report.

I got one rather odd one once. Just made me suspicious so i declined it. otherwise I am friends with zillions on this forum. Probably because I never shut up.  Diane

Hah, not much chance of that as I have an opinion on EVERYTHING.  So long as my fingers hold out i will keep on blathering. D.
