Do any of you celebrate your sleeve day?

 I think I'm going to celebrate it like a new birthday!

I got a birthday card from my parents and congrats cards from all my siblings on my 1 year anniversary date (4/26). My Bday is in June.

When I was in the recovery room the surgeon came out and told my parents everything was OK and that this was the first day of my new life. I guess my mom made a note of this as a reminder for the card. Very sweet.

My family has been super supportive!!

My sleeve anniversary is Thanksgiving, which is also only 3 weeks after my birthday!  I guess I will have a double celebration!

I will certainly  celebrate it come January 24, 2012!!!  It was the start of the rest of my life!!

I will be celebrating my first sleeve birthday and everyone else will be too as mine was on Memorial Day weekend,  and was it ever memorable  lol  hard to believe its been a year,  what a great one  :o) jeani

My birthday was yesterday and my surgeon had the date opened. It seemed tempting to have my new birthday on my real birthday but I decided I didn't want to be in the hospital on my birthday, so my surgery is on Friday. I will definitely be celebrating my sleeve day and my birthday together in the future!
