Do any of you celebrate your sleeve day?

I'm having surgery on my birthday, so I will definitely be celebrating every year

I had my plastics on my surgaversary exactly to the day one year after my VSG.  This June 29, will be the first time in two years that I am not in a hospital. 

I definitely celebrate it. Not in a traditional celebratory manner, but I use it as a time of reflection. I had major complications, and a very grave prognosis. For me to have pulled through, it is truly a miracle, and I celebrate it because I am alive to share my story, success, struggles, and triumphs.

This year, we will be celebrating 2 major things; 1) My VSG 2 year anniversary 2) We will find out the sex of our Sprout on the same day. Major milestones in my life, and truly a time to be grateful for VSG and the life it has afforded me and my family.

What a great idea! I think I am going to have to come up with something special for myself on my anniversary :)
