Any recommendations on protein supplements?  I bought several individual powder packets and a couple of shots at the health food store yesterday, but I can't afford to buy those hugh containers just to waste them.  Any favs or brands to avoid?

My fav is the Body Fortress in Vanilla from Walmart. My least fav is the Jay Robb strawberry, it tastes like dishsoap! Also the Unjury Chicken Soup would be ok if it could be mixed with ho****er but since it can only be used with 130 degree water, it is rather gross. The EAS chocolate fudge is ok, kind of tastes like YooHoo choc. drink.

I love, love GNC Amplified wheybolic extreme 60. I put 1 scoop in 4 oz of milk for 24 grams of protein. The chocolate is my favorite! I tried slot of others and this was by far the only one I could stomach multiple times pet day. No icky aftertaste....

I spent about $30 ordering sample packs from 5 different places. Haven't received/tried them yet, but you might want to try that so you don't have to buy anything in bulk quite yet.

I  thought i had it made.  i found protien powder before surgery that i tolerated so i bought 2 containers of it. After sugery I couldn't stand any of it. I  read on another forum about using unflavored, so i tried it, as long as i cover it because it is still white and with a pack of crystal light i tolerate it. It is GNC pro performance 100% whey protien unflavored.

My taste tolerances changed after surgery.  After surgery I am only able to tolerate Click expresso/mocha coffee flavored protein and and Atkins Mocha Latte.  Everything else makes me nauseous and want to throw up!  It does get expensive.  At my last wls meeting, a friend recommended fruit flavor protein that mixes with water and I liked all the flavors and bought some online.  I bought them on mybariatricpantry.com.  I believe the name brand is Pantry Select.  These are good.

I've been using the EAS Advantage Dark Chocolate.   Thanks to this forum I ordered some Syntrax Nectar samples from netrition.com.   I've also tried the Unjury.  I'm liking the Nectar flavors because I can change it up.  The other day I had Carribean Cooler which tasted like a Pina Colada!  At this point since various forum posts have reported changes in taste post surgery I'm planning on just ordering sample packs so I have flexibility for those weeks post surgery!  Good luck on your journey.
