EVERYTHING IS GOING CRAZY !!

Dear Sleevers,

It's been awhile that I didnt post any and honestly was away from this site ever since my one year Sugervessary in May. Since than till the whole month of June, I'm been hospitalized 4 times. Reason is all about fainted ,due to bad dizzyness..CTscan here and there..each stay in average 6 nights.

I don't have dietbetes, only Hypertension b4 my VSG and since last year in May my Hypertension is gone..and during this time as most of my friends here aware that I'm not taking CARBS cause in any drinks and side dishes contains small amount of Carbs so no rice, noodles, pastry and bread etc.

The first time I fainted my glucose level was 3.2 when the Ambulance sent me to the Hospital I was on Glucose drip and they stop it as my sugar level up to 5.8,my blood pressure on average is 100/59 sometimes 96/58 thats the lowest.Lot's of test been done during my 4th addmission as I even fainted in the Ward and been indicate ''CRIB'' & 'FALL RISK' all the while was on IV drip and a kind of blood test been done a few of mineral including Potassium ..

I'm still on O P T I FAST as it is easy to prepare as in the hospital the meal is not what I'm eating at home. So I only take fish and veggie. Breakfast they always serve rice porridge with chicken or fish or chinese called it CONGEE..As I dont take Carbs I replace it with my O P T I FAST.

To bad my Surgeon was in the State for a few months so I only managed to see my ENDO Doctor who advice me about checking my sugar level when I feel dizzy and he recommended it FREE for me..I do have blood pressure monitoring at home and still using it..although I'm off from my medication.

In June only I've lost 4kgs about 9lbs..which is to much for my condition..and as after one year weight lost will be slower..and I didn't want to update my avatar and I dont bother to look into weight lost as I used to be since I had VSG..which I did too much of intense workout at the Gym and now I'm on 1 month off from activities..must rest more and lot's of vitamins. My friend told me about my meal replacement is bad for me even it contains 27 vitamins and mineral she link me some story from family members who lost their love one because of this beverage..

My worries now I'm going for RNY in Sept and blurrrrrrrr now... as my hubby and families so worried about it..

Any advices? Idea? please help me ...

I'm sorry to hear about your health - I hope things get sorted out.

I'm kind of confused though - why are you going for an RNY??

Thanks for the comment.

In 2010 ,I was surposed to have RNY but since my BMI is high and risky ,2 step been plan and first is VSG and than RNY..

I still have time to cancel it..I'm still sharing with friend who had it done in the same hospital and same surgeon..and also reading on the links..

Why on earth would you want more weight loss, and mal absorbtion of vitamins and minerals ? An RNY will make this worse. You need to find yourself a GOOD doctor to figure out what is going on with you. Prehaps a trip to the states or to a University hosptial is what you need to straighten all this out.

Thanks for the comments.but I dont find any reason to travel that far for second opinion.coz in the hospital there is 4 Bariatric Surgeon and 3 are from State and they are all Senior.

As I said since the surgery is in Sept I will have to wait for my Surgeon to come back and discuss about it as I am a role model on weight lost surgery in this Hospital and piority care is all been taken care..

Just need some comments here to support me..and thanks.
You did a good job...rock it baby!!

I'm confused why are you having MORE surgery when your health and current condition are undiagnosed and I would think that having the RnY would only cause you to lose MORE weight (since it looks like you weight under 200) and cause a whole host of possible vitamin deficiencies.

Please take care of  yourself and find out what's wrong before you go having surgery.

First off, my doctor refused me to use optifast once I was post op. Too much sugar.

Second off, you should google reactive hyperglycemia. And if you continue with bypass you could get it even worse. Please make sure you do your research.

I developed RH briefly after dropping a good amount of weight (about 70lbs at the time) and would get really dizzy and sick. I started testing my blood during it and my blood sugar was extremely low. Seems my body was still creating a lot of insulin like I was 70lbs heavier. Luckily after a few months my body started to stabilize. I have not had any symptoms since December.

If you do ANY other surgery please look into the DS, which you already have the sleeve half of.

I hope you do not have RH. Maybe your body will catch up and stabilize? I wish you much luck.

Thanks Ms Lori..

I dont think Optifast is high in Sugar..I still have a carton of it,still not open as my supply if for 3 months and my Doctor sign that supply for 4 months for FREE as I mentioned Im a role model ..I attended seminars on WLS to inspire those who hesistate to do it..

I will check and goggle first till my Doctor is Back.

Thanks

Like the others, I really question your need for surgery with your current health state along with the fact that your ticker suggests you're only 25 pounds from your weight goal - having RNY to lose those extra 25 pounds is pretty extreme.

And you are "taking carbs" if you're drinking OptiFast.  Each shake, soup, and bar has 20g of carbs per serving. Check out the label.  In fact, I'd argue it's much healthier to eat 20 g of complex carbs (pasta, rice, etc) rather than 20 g of simple carbs found in your shake - the sugar is going to spike your blood sugar faster and harder than the complex carbs would.

Have you talked to your nutritionist about your diet?
