Darling little Max just turned the oven on, I didn't know he had. I didn't know my hubby put a pan of grease in there either. I knew I smelled smoke… opened the oven to flames flying at my face! Luckily I have a home daycare and have to keep a fire extinguisher in the house! It felt like it took forever to put out. What a panic with a house full of kids!!! I got it out. Im afraid the oven may be toast… all the pans are shot to hell… FML… at least it was contained in the oven. Friday cant come fast enough.
Jim I've earned a carrot cake in a jar, no?
Now to clean up….

Oh Jen! How scarry for you and the kids! Glad you are all ok!! Look at it this way........... It IS the hubby's fault and now you get to go shopping for a new stove!!!!!!!!!!!

This is exactly why I don't let my dad use the oven either. He leaves cardboard in there from pizzas and ta da - fire! Had to replace my oven 2 years ago. So scary though :( Glad it was contained and I hope your oven isn't toasted. Though it certainly looks warpy in this pic. I think it's just the pic though.

Yikes! But yes, the good thing is that no one was hurt!!!! Good excuse not to cook for awhile now. But still a sucky thing to happen.
