How long before...

I'm just curious how long before you consider your weight going up a gain?  I know some of us talk about during the week we might go up a pound or two and its usually water weight and then we drop it a couple of days later, but I'm just curious how long before you decide if you need to be looking at what you're eating, exercise, etc.  I have been up a pound for a couple of days and I think its more that my monthly visitor is coming this week and I always retain water(if i was any more bloated I don't know what I would do!).  Just curious what others think/do.

I 'look at' and track my food every day; so, if I  flex up a pound (as i did over the weekend) I don't stress.  My body needs 2000 calories a day, or so to function. It gets those from food and burning fat.  if I eat 750 calories in a day with an adquate intake of protein and very low carbs, it is not possible that I gained 'fat.'

I was travelling over the weekend and eating restaurant prepared foods (scrambled eggs at Cracker Barrel, Peppercorn Steak at Applebees, etc).  Lots of sodium + lots of driving = lots of water retention for me, anyway.

I use the Low Carb Diet Assistant app on my iPhone to track, btw.

Well, for my monthly visitor, i "gained" 4 lbs, and it stayed a whole freaking week. I did not consider that a gain.

Id only consider a week long gain an actual gain if I knew that my eating habits could have actually caused a gain. I have tracked my food every single day for 4 months, and plan to continue for a very long time, so I know exactly what's going on with my body.

I track my food everyday and I haven't gained anything that stayed around very long excep****er weight thank goodness.  And if I eat to much sodium it's tougher to get that swelling to go away.  I think I would know if it were permanent weight because of my tracking if I fall one day I am sure to make it up the next day and eat right.
