Sleeved 12/5 and because of a "swiss cheese" type hernia my doc put in some extra stitches. She said normally goes 3 deep but because of the hernia she went 5 deep and I would feel more pain than most of her patients.

I could have come home yesterday but I just didn't feel ready so stayed the extra night and felt a lot better for it.

I have no idea how to tell when I am full etc. because every swallow regardless of size feels like the gas rolling in my abdomen so for now I just stop at 4-6 1/2 teaspoon bites of jello and sip only aroud 4-5 oz.

Doc said it s a 34 Bougie.

I have been trolling the boards and see quite a few getting sleeved this weel but I just haven't posted much.

Happy to hear you are home and doing ok besides the pain and gas. The gas and burpie feeling will be there for days. If you feel a tight feeling in your throat that is normal too. I have a 34 bougie too. Just keep sipping slow all day to keep hydrated. I am day 14. For broth I use the packets from Top Roman and throw away the noodles (cheapest). I drained chicken noodle and add ho****er to the broth. I like peppermint hot tea. I also use the warm broth in the morning to take my Prilosec pill. It goes down smooth.

I'm pre-op (Dec 19) but I have read that it's a good idea to take in the amount we've been told by the doc/nut because most people don't have that sense of being full yet. Sounds right to me because nerves have been cut and until they heal there probably won't be much feedback (besides pain).

Congrats and wishing you an easy recovery, I'll be there in two weeks!!

Yay! Glad you are home. Been waiting on your psot. Get some rest and keep us posted. I'm going tomorrow! For the record, my doc does a 34f and oversews. I'm been on valium all day (SMALL dose) just to get through my nerves to function at work. Enjoying extra cuddling time with my daughters tonight. We'll have to keep each other aware of how we're doing! See you on the bench!
