Silly but outstanding NSV

So, today, I had a meeting at one of our satellite offices.  Their conference room has chairs with 'firm' arms - they do not move when you sit down.  Has been pretty uncomfortable and tight in the past.

Today, I honestly expected nothing different; HOWEVER - I went in, shook hands, introductions, and sat down... AND, sat comfortably in the chair ... who'd a thunk?   It was pretty cool and no one else understands that except you guys!!  To just go in and sit down and be comfortable... wow and way cool...

It is a little silly, but oh so rewarding.  Love the sleeve results!!! :)

Ahhhhhhh I can't wait!  Congratulations - that's fantastic.

I hate coming into a conference room and scanning the table to find the chair without arms.  I should be happy that each conference room has 2 armless chairs.  Boy does it burn me up when there's a thin person perched upon one or both of the armless chairs  but I get over it LOL

One day! One day soon......

I don't think it's silly. I can completely relate, as I'm sure most (if not all) on this board can. It's the small things in life that we take for granted. I can't wait to be able to get cute scrubs, not have to think about navigating in stores or restaurants to make sure I don't bump into things/ppl, to not have to wear a seat belt extender in the airplane and not have to feel the arm wrests pressed into my thighs... the list goes on!
Small victories!!!!!!

I tell my hubs all the time "its the little things"... restaurant booths, airline seats, movie theater seats, mini people don't understand, we former chubs cry like little babies when the "little things" happen. Congrats on your journey!

Not silly at all !!! It's a wonderful NSV, and one we can all relate to !!! And funny how you are going to sit through business meetings with a grin on your face, and no one will know why !!!!! Just wait for the moment you realize you are crossing your legs !!! THAT had me giggleing in a business meeting so much that I had to excuse myself to walk to the ladies room and compose myself !!!

What a great NSV and not silly at all! I have started to notice that I fit more comfotably in seats and chairs now and it feels great, so I know you were too excited with your NSV...CONGRATS!

That is sooo great!

I remember this exact NSV and how good it felt. Before you know it, you won't even come near the arms.

I remember once sitting in an armed chair while at work and when I went to get up the chair was attached to my hips and a$$. How mortifyingly embarrassing! Glad you are now comfortable. Can't wait to get there myself.

That is a fabulous victory!! Every holiday with my family I get "assigned" to the main table...only 2 chairs without arms!! So either my booty has spindle marks or I'm scooted to the edge. Well lemme tell ya, next Thanksgiving I'm going to march myself over to an armed dinner chair and wiggle around with pride!
