Keeping food warm
I'm not sure what the official name for the thing is, but my wife got me one of those flat iron skillets that the Mexican restaurants use for serving fajitas. I think she got it at one of the housewares stores in an outlet mall we stopped at on the way home from surgery. It comes with a wooden insulating base and an insulated cover for the handle. Pop it in the oven while the meal cooks and keeps thing warm a good long time.

What a great idea! I've been struggling with this problem too, so I will look for one right away. My goodness, we get such great ideas on this forum! Thank you for this one.
I found this on Amazon -- terra cotta, size 5x3 -- it probably wouldn't work as well as a cup warmer, but you don't have to keep it plugged in!
