I had to laugh when I read your post!

My friends and co workers used to laugh at me because before my VSG I was scared and kidded "when I don't have my belly to hold up my boobs...where are they gonna hang to, and how horrible will they look?" Now I'm there too!!! But for me...oh well. I can cross my legs...walk without feeling like I'm gonna keel over and die, and breath while I sleep. I'll be looking for a good bra too...so let us know how you make out !!

"Do your boobs hang low...to they wobble to and fro, can you tie them in a knot, can you tie them in a bow? Can you swing 'em over your shoulder like a Continental Solidier? Do your boobs hang low??!!"""kiss sorry.

Happy Monday!!

Peace

~Deb

I sing that every day! And I can swing them over my shoulder.. seriously! It is hysterical.. I am glad I am close to 50 and mature enough to laugh about it.

To all less-endowed gals I'd advise:
It's no use to obsess about size.
Yes, your A-cups can please.
You don't need double-Ds!
Lord above, you're as bad as us guys!

If it feels good, do it!  And if it smells good, eat it!

I have been going through this.  While you might feel it is embarrassing, you need to be properly fitted.  I am the type of person who wears my bras until they fall apart that is how much I had clothes/bra shopping!  LOL  I did go ahead and find a Vanity Fair bra (no underwire) that has great support and it fits well.  I got it as tight as I could without being too tight so that I will be able to wear for a little while.  Kohls had them buy 1 get one half off.  I went from a 44DD to a 40DD.  Your cup size will probably need to stay about the same as you still have all of the skin but a professional will be able to help you.

Good luck!

Hope your professional fitting turned out well.

I am probably the only one on here that just scrunches them in with a tight sports bra and fitted puller in tank on top.  My friends all tell me I should go get fitted for a real bra, then I would look like I had some up top, but you know what?  I do not even care.  I guess that is a bad thing.  I would rather just be all pulled in all over, fat and everything, than constantly worry if I am falling out somewhere.  Guess it is time for a professional fitting huh?  Yuck.  Maybe this spring when I will start wearing lighter, more fitted tops.  :O)

I really like this one that I got from the Hanes-Bali store.  It has sides that are a little longer as well, and designed to avoid that above the bra "roll over" on the sides!  It's lightly padded and no wires!  I've been wearing these for about a year, so I'm still in my pre-op bras (since the cups are padded, you can't tell there's not much in there!  LOL!  But probably next month I'll be looking for new ones!

I was having trouble finding a proper fit.  I went from a 42dd to 38ddd, but didn't like the fit.  Went to Nordstrom, got a fitting, 38G.  Yep, G.  The bra doesn't move and neither do the girls...fully contained.

These posts are why I so totally love this board! When I finally told my family that I had done the surgery, my mother asked if there would be loose skin down the line. I told her I was pretty sure I could kiss my rack goodbye, but that I didn't care. I plan to do origami with the empties and fold them into something like boobs once I reach goal.

I had to get a reduction and lift, best thing I EVER did.  But until then, I went to Macy's and they had good bra fitting people who helped me out.  It was a pain in the butt, I feel for you.

FITTING RESULTS-

So I went to the specialty bra shop, I was on the money for my size but they had some bra suggestions and after a 12 shift test (I'm and RN) I will know for sure if I love it but so far so good!  First off, they put in a soft cup AHHH!!! I know right?  I was so into molded cups but the idea is your boob has to fit into the shape of the cup, but the soft cup can streach slightly to fit your boob!  Awesome!!!  Also, I am short from my breast line to the top of my shoulder so I need to find a very short strap, I always have them tightened all the way but I need to tighten a little more.  Volia!  Good looking boobage!
