Anniversaries! 2 years for VSG, 30 years for college
I'm just returned from a trip to my college town, Chico, California. On Sunday, I celebrated my two-year surgery anniversary by riding in the Chico Wildflower. I was going to ride the century, but rode 104 miles 2 weeks ago in bad weather and thought to myself..."hmmmm....65 miles seems like plenty when there are old friends to visit with!" So that's what I did on Sunday...65 miles, 2600 feet of climbing. I will write more later about life at the 2-year mark, but need to get to unpacking/cleaning--so here are the pictures, always the best part!

Sunday, with Jon from Nevada. I was riding alone when he passed me. I jumped on his wheel and we rode the last 30 miles or so together. Thank goodness! The headwind was brutal!
