So I'm a month a about a week out still eating 2 oz per meal. Not sure when i should feel restriction. I really am not sure if I felt it or not already. I do have a full feeling after I eat. Is this restriction or just me being full? How far out were you when you felt restriction?

Thank in Advance

I think it is a little different for everyone.  Your nerves are now healing so if you are feeling anything that is good.  Some people don't get that feeling back.  If I eat too big of a bite, then I feel it going down and I think of that as restriction.  If I eat too much food and feel uncomfortable in my stomach then I think of that as restriction also.  The thing is that I really don't want to feel that feeling because that means I have over done it.  I make sure that I always weigh my food so that I don't overeat.  When I go out, I guessitimate how much is there and divide it up right away so that I stop when I get to 2-3 oz of food.

When I started eating dense protein is when I first started to feel the restriction.

I'm a little over a month out too!  When I had the lap band, "restriction" for me meant "stuck" complete with pain, and a lot of times eventual vomiting.  With the sleeve, I feel full, like you do.  There has been a time or two where I pushed it, and there was a feeling like a bubble in my stomach, which was my signal to STOP eating.

I think the beauty of the sleeve is that you don't have to feel restriction; you just get full fast.  At least for me.  I hope nothing changes from right now, 'cuz I'm liking it!

Thank you for the response. I guess my main problem is I don't have a clue how many ounces I should be weighing out. I eat 2 oz now but i want to get more protein and veggies in so i want to try 3 oz but not sure if i would be over doing it. i read frisco under eat your sleeve and this is what i am trying to do. Guess i have to try the 3 and see what happens YIKES lol

Isn't restriction and feeling full the same thing? If you are satisfied on two oz of protein and a few bites of vegetables then I would say keep eating that and don't increase it to three oz. are you hitting your nutritional goals in terms of protein etc.?

Well im only a month out which is why i dont know what i should be looking for in terms of restriction. Not sure it is tight feeling, cramp, vomiting, full feeling or what. I am not meeting my protein goals which is why i wanted to increase food intake. I am really sick of the protein shakes. Just trying to make this all work out with the little knowledge i have on it.

At 8 months out today I cannot meet my protein goals without supplements. At one month out it was truly impossible. I would try to vary your supplements (protein). Have you tried the soups and oatmeal from my bariatric pantry? Different flavours of protein shakes? Unjury products - they have chicken soup and unflavoured as well. I find that it really is a mathematics feat to get above 60+ grs while restricting quantity. At a month out I would not increase the quantity at a time, but maybe have five 2 oz servings of protein during each day?
