Shakeology Protein Shakes

So my wife had these Shakeology protein shakes given to her so I tried them and that chocolate isn't bad. Maybe too chocolaty for me, Vanilla is rather plain tasting, but neither have that chalky taste.  Pics are in my profile as I couldn't figure out how to add them to my post. 

Those are much too high in carbs and much too low in protein for me. 

What do you use?

Optimum nutrition double rich chocolate with unsweetened almond milk. 25g protein, 5g carbs. It's a darker chocolate so not as sweet as most. Yum. 

How many carbs should you be having in a protein shake?  I use Bolthouse Chocolate and it is 30 g protein, 29 g carbs....too much?

Which one are you drinking? I looked up the protein plus chocolate. The serving size on that one is 8 oz.  

8oz has -  29 carbs, 26 sugars and 16 protein.

Which is a lot more than I am supposed to have. So personally I wouldn't drink it, I try to keep my protein/carb ratio on the protein powders and drinks,  3:1

That seems like way too many considering most here keep their carbs under 40g in weight loss. My shake has 5g of carbs for 25g protein. 

Which protein powders were you drinking that had a chalky taste?  

For my lapband I used muscle milk products. Which should I use? I tried isopure but didn't like them last time.

I use Syntrax Nectar.  I've only tried the chocolate truffle but I mix it with soy milk and a tablespoon of PB2 and it is pretty good.  All together it has almost 30 grams of protein, and I only use a half cup of soy milk, so it isn't much.  It doesn't taste chalky.  I like the Isopure drinks too...not their shake mix, but the clear liquids in the bottles.  I buy the 8 oz plastic bottles off Amazon.  They have 15 grams of protein and kind of taste like Gatorade to me.  Good luck!  I've found that it is important to get a lot of "bang for your buck" so to speak when getting protein.  I like a shake with lots of protein since I would rather not drink it more than once or twice a day.
