Has anyone ever had there stomach stapled even smaller and their common channel further reduced? I'm currently at 75cm. I also have too much bile which I've learned allows more carbs to be absorbed in the large intestine.  My original DS was in 2008.  I lost a good amount right at the beginning only holding my lowest weight for 2 weeks then slowly and steadily regaining to only have lost 30 lbs.  I've held this weight for 3 years.  Nothing has worked to change it.  My surgeon and other surgeons are baffled. blood tests and vitamin  levels are excellent.  Just total.weight loss is drastically low to even the most modest expectation.  So this additional surgery is the suggestion.  I did this to loose weight and feel/be healthier from the start and need to continue my journey.  Just wondering if anyone else out there has had or is having the same issues.

Have you posted on the DS forum, too? You will probably get a better response on that forum than you will here.

While we VSGers have the same sleeve as you, our intestinal tracts were not altered in any way. I understand your frustration though. I hope you get some answers and some good results from your revision.

You did not mention your eating habits. What are you eating and how much? Are you tracking your food? Are you being honest with yourself about how much you are eating? Any weight loss surgery is just a tool. A revision is not magic.

If bile is truly an issue, I suppose a revision can help with that but if you are eating too much you will still gain. Good luck.

I can gain weight easily.  I think the further out we are the easier it becomes -- so i'm not sure it is really a medical mystery.  We have to be very diligent forever with what we eat.
