I' d like to know that myself.  Only thing I get at Taco Bell is of course refried beans, but you could probably order any taco hard or soft and eat everything except the shell/wrap.  I have had KFC and got the mashed potatoes/gravy and popcorn chicken and peeled some of the breading off and also I got the hot sauce drenched boneless wings.  I ate like 2 nuggets.

I am not sure what surgery you had, but I had DS, so yes, I can eat anything off of either menu.  KFC is great as it is high in fat & protien which is perfect for my WLS. (I don't absorb 80% of fats). If you had another surgery, I am sure you will get more responses here soon!

You can order anything from Taco Bell and they will put it in a container without the shell and charge less like if you order an extra scoop of meat or cheese. As far as KFC I haven't eaten there yet and I had the RNY on May 7th 2007.

Pintos & cheese is real good from Taco Bell. Personally, I have stayed away from KFC because of the high fat content.  Yes, they have changed oil now and there are no transfats but deep fried anything, in my opinion, is just asking for trouble.   I have had chicken nuggets since surgery, just a couple, but baked in the oven at home and not fried.  Many postops will dump hard on fat.   Hope this helps.

Sorry this is purely a sidenote....you have a lot of giberish in your signature below you ticker. You need to go under user setting and delete it so it doesn't mess with your ability to read replies or mess up the html of the boards.

After you've had your guts rearranged to be healthy, I'd think it would be wise to stay away from fast food.  In a pinch, Taco Bell beans and cheese would be okay, but why eat that stuff?  Fast food is not good for you and it's what makes America fat. Linda
