Yes, I am a fellow chip/salsa addict. And for some reason when my stomach is upset and nothing sounds good, a few tortilla chips seem to settle it. I have no idea why. I like to make chips and cheese, but only put about 6 or 7 chips on a plate with some shredded cheese and microwave it, then top each with a dab of salsa. This amount more than satisfies me, unlike the huge piles I used to eat. I never get chips at a restaurant because if I eat them I can't eat my protein meal. I like to go to Logan's because there they have the buckets of peanuts, and those are a much better snack than chips, as they at least have protein in them.

P.S. You will not be able to eat any of this for a few months at least

These may (or may not) be a better choice.  They're found in the health food section of your grocery store.

a healthier option is to get the low carb tortillas (la tortilla factory) , cut them into 6 pcs, and spray them with a little pam, put in the oven and crisp them-- you have low carb chips and add all the salsa you want.

here is something that may help!!

Small pinch of grated cheddar for each "chip"
1/2 tsp. onion powder
1/2 tsp. garlic powder

Place on non-stick cookie sheet & bake at 400º for approximately 6 minutes until flat, hard, & crisp - not burned! Remove with spatula & place on paper towel.

these turn out just like chips, and trust me, they will save your life!

i am one month out and have lost 40 lb.'s, which i am very proud of, but i am human and i have has small slips.  (i seem to have a few more than others since i am 20 yrs. old and still have a rebellious streak!)  i have a very stict regime (on of the most strict in the country, i have found out!) and i have to stay on puree's and blends until 5 weeks (luckily that is soon!)
but to get to the point!!  these will remind you of chips and since they are made of cheese they are 1) om your plan, 2) a GREAT source of protein, and 3) they will melt in your stomach, and not be heavy, and there is little to no chance of you regretting eating them!

i will note that the spices used are very very mild, but you might just want to try salt and pepper first until you know what your stomach can handle.  salsa is something to watch as well, tomatoes are very acidic and they may upset your stomach early on.  of course, discuss all this with you nutritionist/surgeon, but i know many, many people who have used this to get some "crunch" in their diet.

good luck, take care, and prosper!!
With God's Grace,
Katie
