Do you ever just want to eat a meal of veggies or fruits?
I'm pre-op & not a humongous veggie fan, some are okay. There's a chinese restaurant that makes broccoli in garlic sauce that is just fabulous. Now, keep in my mind I'm fat, really, fat. I love me some gooey, yummy carb-laden deserts. I'm not particularly fond of broccoli. I don't even understand how this can taste so delicious to me, but OMG

Naughtyzute: Funny you should mention that about juicing! Although I don't own a juicer, per se, I have been slurping down some low sodium V-8, lately and getting more liquids in than ever before!
Lisey and Becky, it sounds like you understand! I've sondered if on some days, I could supplement the protein and then eat the meal of veggies or fruits.

I wrote something similar to this about 6 weeks ago.
I know how you feel! I am just about 5 months out and just now having enough room to add more fruits and veggies.
1/2 banana or apple slices with 1 T reduced fat PB might be a good start(get some fruit with your protein). Also started making my own chunky applesauce/baked apple sorth of thing. chopped up apple, added a t. of splenda and cinnamon and nuked for a min.
Of course, those may be more sweet than you want.
Fruit has become my treat. Hard for me to imagine that, but it is true.

I love veggies!
So I make my morning protein shake with 3 scoops of powder instead of 2 (so 1.5 servings) and have one of those 15 g of protein drinks for an evening snack so that I can get in enough protein but still have room for veggies.
