Hurtful Comment

At his size.........that could take years! lol  OK....it was a joke.......don't anyone get all bent....after all he is small compared to where I started!  I guess some people are just ********the "jolly" fat dude.....does not apply here.  Ignore his comment....he is trying to make you feel bad........breaking someone else down.....to build himself up! 

Rob is feeling like an idiot, so he behaved like one. You have nothing to feel badly about. You have worked your butt off, and done a wonderful job, and now that he is needing help, he has to insult the only one who came to help him. How sad for him. How sad it must be to be him.

Thank you all for your words of encouragement! You are all correct...Rob is an asshole! I believe that the idea of not giving him money and allowing him to starve to lose weight is a great one! I know now why this site has kept me on the right path! I love you all!!

I have to agree with everyone else.. that was pure jealousy talking. Don't think about what he said for another minute. Be proud of your accomplishment of reaching your goal weight. You look great!

Wow...that is crazy-go-nuts-insane. That would be an overtly rude comment for him to make to ANYONE and then when you add in his super morbid obesity and the fact that you have lost an amazing amount of weight plus the fact that you were there to help him out...well, it just becomes ridiculous. I mean, if you hadn't been so taken aback and stunned, laughter would have been appropriate.

Please consider the source and do not take his comments to heart. I think it may be time to re-evaluate the friendship with Rob.

I am so sorry to hear about what you went through.. I am more amazed that someone you are helping out could say such rude things-time to cut him out of your life.. it really isn't worth the drama.  You have the support of a great husband (they really help us out more than we know) and you are on the right course... but to echo what everyone else says, it is all about being jealous... you should be flattered.. I am sure you look great and you SHOULD know that there are many of us, who look up to you for your hard work and dedication.. it isn't easy doing any sugery, and to lose weight to boot.. I just started with the Realize Band, and I hope to to be as successful as you.

I am in a wee bit cranky mood so my immediate reaction was going to say "he could probably stand a week without food".  However, nice Nancy is back.  I am sorry that he made that crappy remark to you.  Not trying to justify his nasty comments at all, however, keep in mind that he is probably in a MISERABLE state of mind right now.  At 500 lbs, he is probably having serious mobility and health problems  Plus on top of that he is out of work and money.  I assume he also has no job? 

Play no mind to his silly comments.  You have every right to be pissed off, however, what you need to do is put it behind you.  I don't want you to waste even one minute thinking about this silly, silly man.  And by the way, you look freaking fantastic!  Way to go!!!!

Pay no mind, as in don't get upset about it or stress or lose sleep.  HOWEVER, pay some mind in that he needs to be firmly and calmly told that while taking your help, money, and food, AND while weighing 300+ lbs. more than you, his comments about your weight are unwanted, hurtful, and utterly ridiculous.  

I'm so sorry that you had someone say this to you!! I honestly think its because they are jealous. Jealous that you look fantastic, feel fantastic, and maybe even they are jealous because you were brave. Brave to go through with the surgery, which alot of people apparently arent. Keep your head up!! You are a beautiful woman and a big inspiration to all of us!!
