Finally got a surgery date! Ending the OH sabbatical.

I found out in May that I wouldn't be having surgery over the summer since there are no surgical procedures that they consider elective over the summer. (Gotta love those long Swedish vacations!) I don't know how you guys handle things, but I found that I was getting to be a bit obsessed. I was spending all my time on this board and on WLS blogs in general. The longer I was waiting to hear, the worse it got. I found myself getting a little caught up in the drama of the online WLS community. That had NOTHING to do with me. I finally decided I needed to walk away for a little while. I couldn't spend all summer planning on life post-op.

To make a long story short, I had a great summer and now I am having surgery on November 9th. I still don't know if I will be having the RnY or the DS (it will more than likely be the RnY since the DS is so very rare here.) but I will know on October 11th. Thanks to those who checked in during my hiatus. It's good to be back.

What did I miss?
Pretty pretty please, don't you ever ever feel like you're less than f*ckin' perfect.
Pink!

congratulations! I don't blame you at all for taking a step back. I really hope you get the surgery you want and that all goes smoothly.

I haven't been around as much either but I'm pretty sure you missed some drama LOL

Cangradulations on your surgical date.   The best thing that you could have done for yourself is taking  the summer holiday.  It let you be able to relax and enjoy your life as it is now.  Within a few months, you'll be glad that you did. Also, the changes that are going to incur will boggle your mind.  Enjoy the ride of your life.
