New here - from Texas

Hello everyone.

I have been going through the insurance approval process since March of this year and I finally got approved last month, paid my co-pay last week and got my surgery date. I'm super excited to be able to finally begin this leg of my journey.

I've opted for the bypass surgery and chose Dr. Manual Castro in Dallas, Texas.

I'm about to be divorced - on Nov. 29, 2011, am 48 years old, have three adult children and three beautiful granchildren.  I'm a Christian and am looking for friends. I hope to find some here!

I am to have my surgery on Tuesday of this week.  I too am having gastric bypass.  I am a grandmother and in fact a great grandmother.I live near Waco  and am looking forward to getting this done and getting on with life.  There is a  forum on here for the gastric bypass where I have learned  a lot and  have seen several good recipes.
