Is there some way to buy a book for someone else to put on their iPad?  I can't figure this out.  I do not have an iPad or an e-reader myself.

Thank you!!

With Amazon, you can buy them a gift card and then they can buy the book with the account that is registered to their Kindle app.

With Itunes, it works the same way, you buy them an Itunes gift card and then they can buy whatever with their account.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Sara.  I did know I could buy gift cards.  I think it is dumb tho that you can't somehow buy an actual book to give as a gift.  I've given books my whole life and *I* want to select the books I give.  Looks like in this day I can't do that.

Grrrrrr.

It is more satisfactory to read a book than to watch it as they don't really do much on their own.
LOL

Yes, Kindle app for iPad is available in iTunes as a free download.

Yes. There is a free kindle app on ipads.  Not as nice to read books on an ipad though as it is backlit and so harder on the eyes.

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,
