Hi,

I once saw a wonderful recipe on here for candied pecans. It was made with sugar free honey, I printed it up, made it a few times but have now lost the recipe. So if anyone out there knows it, please submit it on here, that would be great.

Thanks

I'm sitting here wondering how in the world you'd find sugar free honey.  That's a paradox!

It wasn't that bad, plus better than all the sugar in the real stuff. Just my personal opinion though.

 Honey is a natural food.

Sugar free honey is quite often made of maltitol which can cause severe cramping and diarrhea.

I'd prefer real honey if I was going to use it for a recipe --

I foumd this recipe over the holidays and tweeked it.  It is very good.  I used splenda and low carb cranberry juice.  Only big calories are the pecans.

Orange Pecans

4 c pecan halves

1/4 c orange juice (cranberries, apple ?)

1 c sugar (splenda)

Mix all and cook in microwave for 6 minutes on medium power.

Stir and return to microwave for additional 6 minutes on media, power.

Pour out onto a sprayed wax or foil paper.

Looks good, but how much sugar is in this recipe from the juice?
