Its now 6 days since my sleeve. I am doing fine. the first 2 days was really rough for me. My blood pressure was so high. it was 201/100. it took 2 days to get back normal plus all the meds i was pumped with. I have lost 10lbs so far. I am still sore in my belly button area all the other cuts i feel nothing but that belly button is a pain. I have major heartburn . i take nexium dosent help much.

Don't worry, it gets better! I was miserable the first few days. I kept thinking, "Why did I do this?"
But then everything started healing, and drinking liquids got easier, and i started eating solid foods.
Now I'm almost at 3 weeks, and the only problem I have is a bit of lingering pain in my large incision, and occasional heartburn. And I got to take my first bath yesterday! lol

I opted for the sleeve instead of the bypass or other procedures because when used along with the proper diet & exercise it can provide amazing & quick results with less of the complications or concerns of some other procedures (i.e. malabsorptive concerns; not getting enough vitamins, minerals, etc. from the food you eat). It also requires significantly less follow-up care & as a busy mom with a daycare in my home, I don't really have vacation or sick days to be running off to the doctor all the time for follow-ups! Good luck on your decision-making! ~Melissa
