I know every carrier is different, I have Anthem BCBS out of Wiisconsin and am wondering if anyone hasd had experience with them and how long it took to receive approval for surgery my information is going to be submitted tomorrow and am just curious as to what to expect. Thanks,
Oh there is just no way to tell you that, they are all so different even among the same ins. cos. Some take days, others take a full 30 days. There is just no average time, you can always can the ins. co. to see how it is going.
I called BCBSIL today to see after i have my class next week how long it would take and was told from 3-30 days, with most landing midway. The guy was really helpful you may want to call and ask.
I have been denied 4x from BCBS-IL. 2 in 2009 and 2 in Feb. I got those denials within a week. I meet with the nut. again on Monday and then submitting again after 3 months of meeting with her. So I know if you get a denial from the IL branch it comes real quick.
