Help! Magnesium Citrate will not stay down.

My surgery is tomorrow.  My doctor requested that I drink 1 bottle of magnesium citrate and do two fleet enemas.  I drank the magnesium citrate 2 hours ago with a bottle of water.  It just sat in my stomach and made me really nauseous.  I tried to keep it down, but ended up throwing it back up.  Maybe it's just the brand I bought.  Should I go buy a different brand or sit and see if my body absorbed some of it?  What if I can't keep a second bottle down?  Any suggestions?

I would call your pharmacist , or hang out and wait and see if anything starts happening. If you do get more maybe drink it slow ???
Good luck with your surgery

Thanks for the advice.  I think I drank it too fast.  Will wait and see.  Was just panicking a little.

How soon after drinking it did you throw it up?  did  a lot come back when you did?

You should
probably call your surgeon and see if he want s you to drink another bottle. If he does, pour it over ice and drink it slowly. give it time to absorb and not irritate your stomach and *don't drink a bottle of water behind it!

Haha, that's exactly what I did, drink a bottle of water behind it.  But some of it stayed in because not long after my last post, I felt it working.  Thanks!
